WOO HOO!!!

WOOHOO!!! My PET was clean. The doctor said "Congratuations, see you
in 4 months."

There are two lymph nodes that remain enlarged on the CT (1.7cm and
1cm) but these are both decreases, and its probably scar tissue. The
PET didn't light up at all - proof that is scar tissue and they will
probably always be big. So its Happy Dance time for Hopie!!

More later... I'm at work now.

Amusement for the evening

Wow, two posts in one day. Ya'll should feel lucky!

You know that counter at the bottom of the page? Its up past 3000 now. WOO HOO! But anyway, if you know the secret password that only I have, you can look at see the IP addresses of the folks who looked at the blog. This amused me at first, but got boring quickly. Then I discovered I could also see the referal page - that is, the page people were on when they clicked and came here. Most of the time it says "none", which I assume is those folks who have it bookmarked. But I have discovered I'm googleable. And I can find out the search terms people used to find me. Todays gems:
- "Huls G. AND ten Bokkel Huinink D."
- "normal red blood count, hemoglobin and hemocrit"
- "hawaian crazy shirt"
- "results side effect for alleve"

Ok, I really just posted that for #3. Hawaian crazy shirt?! And you get my blog?! who knew?!

Oh that note, I should be off. I really, really need to finish the Christmas cards. Really.

I get the results tommorow

And the nerves kicked in around 2pm today. Keep no whammie thoughts in your head!!

And did I mention my hair is coming back? I have some fuzz now. Can't determine if its darker, but its not curly. I kept hearing it comes back darker and curly. But, with the discovery of new hair, I finally got rid of the 48 strands of long hair I kept around for fond memories. LOL I gathered them all up and cut them off. All together, my "long" hair formed a lock about as big around as a strand of spagetti. But, it had gotten to be more trouble than it was worth. And I ordered some Nioxin, which is supposed to be the wonderful shampoo that helps regrow hair. After using it for a week, I thought about doing a controlled expierement and testing it on only one side of my head. But, by that point I had been using it for a week. And, I'd look like a freak if it does work and one side grew quicker.

About the only thing I can tell about my new hair is that its not gray. This gives me a leg up on dear Kyle. He might have more hair than me, but he is going gray rather quickly. But shh! Don't tell him I told you.

Its bitch-ass cold here today (have a cursed on here before? I usually try to keep it clean, but MAN it was cold!). The kitties are pouting because I have kept them inside on lockdown. But its too cold for kitties!

Oh, and I have reservations for Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on Thursday night. It will be my splurge to thank Kyle for being such a good boy over the past 6 months.

Just for Chris

So Chris IM'ed me and complained that I hadn't updated in 10 days. Opps!!

The last chemo sucked hairy monkey balls. But its over. As I was coming out of the chemo blahs, I caught a cold. So I had 2 more days of cruddiness from the cold. Now I just have congestion and a runny nose, but no longer feel like crud.

I had my CT scan today. I've seen this tech before, and last time everything was good. This time I screamed when she stuck the IV in. I've never screamed at a needle prick before (at least not since I was a small kid getting shots). Not sure what happened, but it hurt like heck! Other than that, the CT scan was non-eventful. The PET is scheduled for Thursday morning.

My folks were up this weekend, visiting the DC crowd. They came over yesterday and hung out for awhile. Then Kyle fixed a fondue dinner for my folks and his folks. It was very nice! And who knew you could plan a dinner party for 6 on 3 hours notice. We all had a good time, drank too much wine, but its all good.

I stayed up too late though, and had to get up early for the CT scan. Plus half their office was out, so I was there forever. Now I just want to go to bed. So I'll probably nap before dinner or else go to bed real early.

hmm did I leave anything out?

Last chemo is OVER!!

WOO HOO!!! WOO HOO!!! WOO HOO!!!

I think they gave me extra strong steriods, cause I was busting up laughing the entire time. So hyper. Probably a combo of steriods and it being over!!!

Yay!!!

So, I should crash in about 6 hours - around 11pm. And won't be functional again until Sunday afternoon. But, at least its over (hopefully).

I'll get the results and everything back on the 21st. Keep your fingers crossed for me folks!
