Happy birthday to ME!!

I'm old now. Well into my *gasp* *whisper* thirties. When I was 10, I think I assumed I'd be dead by now. I look around at my friends with kids and think "how on earth can we be old enough for those?!" I am the age my parents were when I came around, and back in those days, they were old for first time parents. And a couple days ago, I watched an episode of What Not To Wear that focused on a 32 year old. First, they got rid of her sweater vests. I supposed I should thank Gypsy for forcing me to get rid of my lovely, lovely sweaters vests a few years ago. But then, they went through her dresses and told her that a couple of them were sexy 22 year old dresses, but not sexy 32 year old dresses. I blushed. I mentally went though my closet and tossed 3 dresses. Not that I wear them anyway, since not only are they for the 10 years younger me, but for the 40 pounds lighter me, too.

We spent my birthday in Las Vegas. In July. We were insane. It really didn't feel any hotter than DC in July. And we both noticed that breathing was easier without the humidity and ozone alerts. But despite thinking it wouldn't feel worse than DC, I did not think about how I refuse to go outside in the DC summer. We did, however, venture outside a big in Vegas. Not too terribly much, but enough. Strangly though, we did try the hot tub. Outside. In the sun. In Vegas. And strangly, it was nice.

The casinos did not treat me as nicely as they did on my last trip. Which mean, I did not come out even after 5 days of gambling. They have a new Texas Hold'em table game. I liked it. Easy to play, and really slow. If I am going to lose my money, I prefer a slow place. Its much better when the dealer must shuffle between every hand. Blackjack, for example, is much faster. Once, I turned $100 into $230 in under 20 minutes. Another time, I lost $100 in under 20 minutes. With Hold'em, I played for 3 1/2 hours on $100, and ended up with $125 in the end.

I might have a big announcement in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Ok, you do realize by putting the "big announcement" line in there my mind is racing about what that could possibly be!!!

Its not THAT kind of big announcment! Shit! No! Do not combine anything in paragraph #1 with "big annoucement." Actually, its completely unrelated to anything I have previously blogged.

Vegas is nice anytime. I like your spunk. Happy birthday. Just keep on and on counting. I've got to go work on a septic system at a double-wide down the street. Just remember "If you mess with me, you mess with the whole trailer park". See ya. Hiccup
