The wedding invitations are out

I kind of hate to put this on the blog, cause my internet followers don't care, and cause our guest list is pretty small. I thought about putting up a seperate webpage, but my friends and family already follow this anyway, and then I'd just have to send out that info. So, a bit of a FAQ for those who haven't gotten around to asking questions.

1. Kids Yes, you can bring your kids. Just let me know so I can count them in the food and chair count (if approriate). Thank you for asking! Seriously! All the other brides who plan kid-free weddings love you.

2. Timing The festivities will wrap up by about 5pm, if that affects your travel plans.

3. Dress The "dress code" is, for lack of a better explaination, "church clothes." Guys don't need a jacket, girls don't need sequins. Its a Sunday afternoon afterall. We won't kick you out with jeans. We might kick you out if you wear a tux. ;-) Please consider question #4.

Yeah, so in my attempt to convey that it was a casual, fun type event, I think I confused everyone. Sorry!

4. Food We will have a vegitarian option. It has been "approved" as a realistic option by two vegitarians. There will be lots of meat, but I did try to think of you :-) Also, for those of you who aren't southerners, BBQ does not equal grilling. BBQ is a style of cooking involving long cooking times and low tempuratures over something that produces smoke. There is generally sauce involved. Its not hamburgers and hot dogs.

5. Bells The bells were a JOKE!!! You do not need to wear bells even if you answer yes.

6. Drive time NoVA folks - its really only 30-45 minutes from the mixing bowl. Maryland is not that far away. Your car will not explode when you cross the Legion Bridge, I do it every day.

Nuts! I've been out all morning collecting bells for the occasion! Oh well.....I guess I can put the one from the church steeple back! It was really going to cause problems if I placed it in my carry on anyway.

AND...thank you for enlightening me on the properties of "BBQ". I hate to admit it BUT I am one of those non-initiated who thought it entailed charcoal and hot dogs!

Love, Tina (the Aunt type!)

Please see prior posts reguarding my spelling and typing skills, and my lack of desire to worry about changing them. :-p
