Just for Chris

So Chris IM'ed me and complained that I hadn't updated in 10 days. Opps!!

The last chemo sucked hairy monkey balls. But its over. As I was coming out of the chemo blahs, I caught a cold. So I had 2 more days of cruddiness from the cold. Now I just have congestion and a runny nose, but no longer feel like crud.

I had my CT scan today. I've seen this tech before, and last time everything was good. This time I screamed when she stuck the IV in. I've never screamed at a needle prick before (at least not since I was a small kid getting shots). Not sure what happened, but it hurt like heck! Other than that, the CT scan was non-eventful. The PET is scheduled for Thursday morning.

My folks were up this weekend, visiting the DC crowd. They came over yesterday and hung out for awhile. Then Kyle fixed a fondue dinner for my folks and his folks. It was very nice! And who knew you could plan a dinner party for 6 on 3 hours notice. We all had a good time, drank too much wine, but its all good.

I stayed up too late though, and had to get up early for the CT scan. Plus half their office was out, so I was there forever. Now I just want to go to bed. So I'll probably nap before dinner or else go to bed real early.

hmm did I leave anything out?

It is really great to know you are up and about. You have certainly been in my thoughts. I went down to the mall this past weekend and had to stand in line over an hour before I could have my turn to crawl up on old Santa's lap and tell him what I would like for Christmas. I gave him my usual 3 page typed list of preferences. He said if I could only have one thing this year for Christmas what would it be. I thought a few minutes and replied "Keep Hope happy and make her well". Santa gave me my list back as well as a big red candy cane. Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Cristmas! See ya! hicup

Hey Ruby Tuesday! I checked your blog out because I've had a whopping one chemo treatment for Hodgkins and I wanted to see what it's going to be like. Best wishes on your engagement! (Kyle sounds like a keeper.) And thanks for your blog--it makes me feel as if I have a map of the territory.
