Thoughts for the evening

I never realised how important eyelashes were until I started loosing them. All this crud falls into your eyes and makes them all watery and itchy. Well, first all the eyelashes get fall into your eyes. Blech! This is annoying! I'm not quite sure how my contacts will react. :(

I've been, for lake of a better word, woozy all day. The chemo is definitely taking more of a toll on my tummy now.

I've come to the conclution that blogging about cancer gets boring. Mostly b/c I've been progressing through treatment with relitivley few bumps. Overall, thats a good thing. But thats why you are seeing less about me and the evil stuff inside me and more about the rest of life. 'Cause in the end, its the rest of life that matters :) Plus, in the grand scheme of chemo things, I doing "great."

But I am getting very, very close to bald.

It will grow back, strong and so nice, you won´t have to bother with it at all. Hey, you saved on a haircut, or two, or three! And bald is also in... just look at Agassi!
As for the eyelashes... that´s really more of an inconvenience. Hope your contacts adjust to it. And you can keep shielded from winds, propeller-fans, etc.Have you considered going back wearing glasses for a while?

Hey litle girl your hair will return-mine has retired. I still say "Bald is beautiful". The only problem I see is your hair acts as a radiator in the cooling process and without it you head heats ups rapidly, you start to sweat, and before you know it your brain overheats and you go completely bonkers until you can cool it back down.So always wear something on your head when you are out in the direct sunlight. Another thought, if you think a blog about chemo is a drag, you need to see the one I have on the problems and pitfalls of plumbing. I bet you I have had at least 6 hits in the last 8 months. Three of those were from my girlfriend telling me the toilet was overflowing into the creek. The other 3 were from EPA wanting directions out to the farm. So there you have it. Keep your chin up. It's deep. See ya! hicup

So sorry to hear about the hair and eyebrows. But as everyone is saying, they will grow back and you will be as beautiful as ever! And you are definitely wise beyond your young age, recognizing that it really is that "rest of life" that matters. You are making some lemonade from this lemon you have in your life just now. Lots of love, BB

Complain Complain Complain Yours will grow back.
Now all my wife sees when I get in the sack
is my lovely hairy back
whereas she used to see my hair so black
and shiny, all she wanted was to take me to the sack.
